Preserve Our Language Project

It was during the 2015-2016 that me, a Principal at the time, and a few Grade 7 students embarked on an amazing project. We titled our project the “Preserve Our Language Project” as the whole reason for it was to demonstrate the value of preserving the Ojibway language.   Join me for this 1 hour workshop where I’ll tell you more about how we learned to code a keyboard layout, allowing users to type in Ojibway syllabics and the evolution of the project to include other languages, and how you might work with your students to create one of your own.
