Read & Write for Every Learner (Elementary Focus)
Read&Write is a literacy support tool that is accessible to students in school and at home. Having a robust digital tool that supports students’ reading, writing, and research skills will empower students to take a deeper dive into their assignments and improve comprehension, while allowing them to advocate for themselves in a way that doesn’t make them feel different from their peers.
Read&Write can strongly support students on IPPs, help with comprehension and expression for English Language Learners, and assist with organising and classifying information to develop research skills for all learners. Additionally, Read&Write is available in many languages, which can help with students learning a second language whether in school or at home.
This session will explore the features of Read&Write and how it can be used to support our students, with a focus on elementary examples. We will also take a look at OrbitNote, our newest tool to work with accessible PDFs.
