Walk on the Wild Side – K-3 Co-Taught Lesson
June 16 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDTFree Funded by Microsoft Canada
Calling all Kindergarten to Grade 3 classes! Are you ready for a field trip?!
There’s nothing quite like an end-of-the-year field trip to take the chance to have fun outside the classroom, while continuing to learn and creating fun memories.
Join us for a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo, take a walk on the wild side with baboons, hippos, elephants and tigers; oh my!
Students will record their observations from the virtual field trip using Microsoft Word and its dictation feature. Students will also be introduced to Immersive Reader, so they can hear words read back to them.
Everyone is welcome to visit the San Diego Zoo, but students will need an Office Account to use Microsoft Word, and a Chromebook, Mac Laptop, or Windows device is strongly recommended so students can follow along on links and have access to all online features.
Register your class for free below to join this lesson or receive the recording to use when it fits your class schedule.
This lesson is a pair with a teacher workshop, Immersive Reader in the K3 Classroom Educator Workshop, happening on June 16th at 7pm EDT. This workshop will explore how these tools were used inside this co-taught lesson, and share other tips and tricks for using these tools in the classroom. Register for both today!
