Relationships are at the heart of teaching
As your classroom moves to an online environment, it can be difficult to continue to create those student-to-student and student-to-teacher relationships and connections.
Join us as we share our strategy, a blend of Flipgrid and Kahoot, which supports active listening, relationship development and building online etiquette.
The strategy and workshop are designed for Grade 3 to Grade 8 educators.
Inside this hands-on workshop, you’ll set up a week of conversation-starting Flipgrid prompts to use with your class, inviting them to share their story, ideas and voice.
We’ll explore features inside Flipgrid to support moderation and differentiation as well as how to easily connect your Flipgrid prompts to your Microsoft Teams community.
Finally, we’ll explore how to create an interactive summary quiz, using Kahoot, to continue to promote community building and active listening.
Grades 3 to 5
Grades 6 to 8
You’ll leave this workshop with your Flipgrid discussions built, a list of 20+ conversation prompts, best practices on how to support online discussion and how both Flipgrid and Kahoot integrate seamlessly inside your Microsoft Teams learning environment!
Of course! This strategy can be used with or without Microsoft Teams. Flipgrid and Kahoot can be shared inside Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom or any other LMS.
While these workshops will be specifically referring to Grade 3 to Grade 8 classrooms, this strategy can be used with learners of all age groups – you just may need to scaffold to meet the needs of your class.
Thank you Microsoft Canada for funding this lesson so it can be FREE for all classrooms!
