Mistatim: Indigenous Ways of Knowing for the Classroom

October 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

An unforgettable story of reconciliation for children and families, Mistatim is about the taming of a wild horse and the truest of friendships.

A collaboration between Red Sky Performance and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, in association with Crow’s Theatre, Mistatim will be available for digital viewing beginning September 30th, The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  The show will run until October 18th, 2021. Students, educators, and families are invited to experience Mistatim, a digital reimagining of Red Sky Performance’s acclaimed production, featuring music co-created by TSO musicians and Indigenous music creators.

You can bring Mistatim to your school by clicking here, or your family by clicking here.

On September 27th a 60-minute virtual workshop on Truth & Reconciliation designed just for you was hosted! We explored ways that educators can support Indigenous students and honour Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing in your classroom.  Click here to see the recording of that lesson.

But that’s not all! The Mistatim production team will be back on October 14th at 1pm EDT (Toronto Time) | 10am PDT (Vancouver Time) for a 45-minute Livestream Q&A panel where you and your students can learn together, with the opportunity to ask questions to the creators and performers of Mistatim, an award-winning digital theatre production.

This is an opportunity not to be missed. Register for FREE below!
