Where in the World?! – A Minecraft: Education Edition Co-Taught Lesson Series

October 19 at 1:00 pm - October 21 at 2:30 pm EDT

Free Funded by Microsoft Canada

How many places around the world can we travel to in 3 co-taught lessons?

No suitcases are needed as we’ll be travelling virtually, of course!

Join us and our mystery guest speakers on October 19th, 20th and 21st as we travel the world with Minecraft: Education Edition!

During each lesson, we’ll try to guess where our mystery guest speakers are from using the clues they provide us. Then, each guest will share a bit more about their culture and location’s geography.  Finally, we’ll close out the lesson by diving into Minecraft: Education Edition for a build challenge using a new biome to showcase our learning!

Bring your problem-solving, sleuthing and critical thinking skills to this co-taught lesson series!

Tools Required

Each student will need access to:

  • A device with Minecraft: Education Edition installed
  • A username and password to log into Minecraft: Education Edition (provided by your school board)

Thank you Microsoft Canada & Minecraft Education for making this workshop free to all educators!
