Meet Real Life Googlers (virtually) & Get Coding with CS First

Calling all Grade 4 Classes at Durham Catholic DSB!
Looking for computer science and coding lessons that can be implemented into all subject areas? We’ve got something for you, and no experience with computer programming or CS First is required!
We want to be your co-teach for an hour and a half!
Your journey begins with a co-taught lesson where your students will learn about the importance of Computer Science and coding and meet Real Life Googlers.
Then, we’ll dive into the Music & Sound CS First activity, which is aligned to the Ontario curriculum and available in English or French! No coding experience is required – talk about making it easy.
We also have support for you along the way with our Office Hours and Teacher Set-up Guide.

Join us at 10am for a 60-minute co-taught lesson with real life Googlers. No prep required for this lesson!
As you set up your CS First class for the next lesson, get all of your question answered during Office Hours from 7pm to 7:30pm

You've got questions, we've got answers
Yes! For the best experience, we suggest that each student has their own device, connected to the internet for the duration of the lesson.
Chromebooks, or other laptops, are preferred for the best user experience.
Nope – that would be a lot of work and we’re all about saving you time!
Please just register the educators of your class (teacher, EA, support staff, etc.)
Please do not register your students.
Nothing! We want to keep all student information private and will never ask you to share it with us.
During the livestream lesson, we’ll be using an interactive form. The form only has two questions:
- Your first name (or your teacher’s name – and optional!)
- Your answer to the question asked
This allows us to interact with your class, while keeping their personal information safe.
You sure can! We’ll send you information closer to the date of the co-taught lesson to help you get all set up.
Before the Tuesday lesson, you have no prep to do! After the first lesson, you’ll receive an email from us with instructions on how to set up for the Thursday lesson. Remember, we also have Wednesday evening Office Hours to get all of your questions answered.
Your coding adventure kicks off on Tuesday, November 23rd, at 10am!
