Coding Made Easy with CS First

November 21 at 9:00 am - 10:00 am PST

Free Funded by Google Canada

CS First is Google’s free, computer science curriculum that makes coding easy to teach and fun to learn. CS First allows students to learn through video-based lessons, with different themes like storytelling, sports, art, and game design.

Inside this 60-minute hands-on workshop, we will explore how CS First supports student inquiry, computational thinking and creativity, how CS First keeps students work organized for both you and them, as well as how to get your class set up in just a few clicks.  We’ll also share our 2022-2023 CS First programming calendar where you and your students can code across the curriculum alongside Canadian Googlers!

Coding inside a version of the Scratch editor made specifically for CS First activities also gives teachers direct access to all of their students’ work inside the CS First Dashboard.

Worried about student privacy?  No need!  CS First allows students to log in with anonymous usernames and passwords.
