Blackout Poetry with Microsoft PowerPoint

November 19 at 11:30 am - 12:30 pm EST

Free Funded by Microsoft Canada

Turn regular paragraphs into works of art!

Writing poetry is fun, but can be a challenge when you are not sure what to write. “Blackout Poetry” can be a great way to solve this problem!

“Blackout Poetry” is when you start with an existing text passage and then choose just the words you want to keep for your poem, blacking out all the other words and leaving behind your unique creation.

Join The Cobblestone Collective and Eric Curts from Control Alt Achieve for this lesson perfect for Grade 5 to Grade 9 classes!

In this 60-minute co-taught lesson, you and your class will learn about this creative style of poetry, and then create your own “Blackout Poem” inside Microsoft PowerPoint!

Register your class below for FREE to join us live on Friday, November 19th or receive the recording to use when it works best with your class schedule.

Thank you Microsoft canada for making this lesson free for all classes!
