Step 2 - Learning with Read&Write
Start the video and follow the on-screen instructions:
- Open up the Fair Trade Chocolate document.
- Use Read&Write to read the problem to you.
- Use the highlight tool to identify the important information using the following colours:
- Blue – Bringing in background understanding/information
- Green – Interesting or unknown words
- Pink – New and surprising information
- Answer the 3 questions or page 2, and share with your teacher.

Step 3 - DOing the Math
Start the video and follow the on-screen instructions:
- Open up the Numbers for 10’s math problem document.
- Use Read&Write to help understand the math problem.
- Open up your Numbers for 10’s Mathspace.
- Use EquatIO to show your thinking and solve the chocolate problem.
- Name your Mathspace.
- Share your Mathspace with your teacher.
