Two Days of Learning
Here are a few of the sessions you’ll find at the Convergence 2022 BITS & BYTES Playground:
Google Power Hour
Has it been a while since you checked out all that Google has to offer? Or maybe you work in the Google Drive environment daily, and you want to learn about more of the hidden gems. Join us for this workshop where we’ll take a bird-eye view of all that Google has to offer to streamline your workflows and inspire your students.
How many times do we say this in a day? Let’s face it. Our children’s brains need help. Without a doubt, attention is the proven gateway to effective learning and executive functioning performance. Learning to manage an ancient brain in a modern world is essential to effective learning as well as leading a peaceful life.
Microsoft Power Hour
If the last time you used Windows was Win95, that’s OK! We know many more out there like you. There is so much you’ve missed!! Or maybe you work in the M365 environment daily. Regardless, Windows 11 and M365 have so many tools that you may not know about. Yes, even if you are a Google District! This session is for you!
Accessibility Features You Need to be Using!
Your Windows Device is loaded with amazing features to help you and your students learn their own way! From changing the cursor size, voice dictation, speech recognition, magnifiers, display options, dictionaries and translators, each student can adjust their device to their personal preferences. And Windows 11 puts all of these features in one place. So easy!!
MATH! Digital, Accessible, and Editable with Equatio
Have you been wondering how to bring Math to the digital world with your students? Equatio by Texthelp can help. Learn how this versatile extension works across platforms to provide digital math expression that allows for multiple means of expression for students. Students can speak, or write their math directly onto their screen with Equatio.
Seriously! – Engaging Ideas For Your Classroom
Your students already use Google Docs, Slides, Drawings and more, but did you know there are hundreds of templates at your fingertips to take their publications to the next level? Join this session where we will look at some fun, engaging, and powerful ways students can demonstrate their understanding through images, audio, and video, and the best ways they can share that work with you!
